Wild Turkey Single Barrel Private Selection Rye Whiskey 750ml
Description
Experience a truly singular rye with this Wild Turkey Single Barrel Private Selection, personally chosen by the team at Grapes and Grains. From the start, we selected this barrel for its balance, depth, and expressive character.
As a result, it reflects both Wild Turkey’s craftsmanship and our commitment to standout selections. This rye matured in Warehouse Tyrone D on Floor 6, a location known for producing whiskeys with added complexity and structure.
Because of its elevated position, the barrel experienced greater temperature swings. Over time, this environment encouraged deeper oak influence and richer flavor development. At the same time, the whiskey retained balance and clarity. Bottled at a bold yet approachable 101 proof, it delivers intensity without overwhelming the palate.
On the nose, warm baking spices lead the way. Soon after, toasted oak and rich caramel emerge. Meanwhile, bright hints of orange zest and fresh herbs add lift. On the palate, classic rye spice takes center stage. Cracked pepper and cinnamon arrive first, followed by smooth layers of vanilla, honeyed grain, and toffee. As the whiskey opens, notes of cocoa, dried fruit, and clove add depth.
The finish, however, is where this rye truly shines. It lingers with warmth and confidence. Dry oak, lingering spice, and a gentle sweetness remain long after each sip. Because of this structure, the whiskey invites slow savoring.
What truly sets this bottle apart is its single barrel, private selection identity. Instead of blending for consistency, we chose this barrel for personality. Every pour reflects one barrel, one warehouse location, and one deliberate decision.
Finally, enjoy it neat, with a splash of water, or in a refined rye-forward cocktail. This Grapes and Grains selection offers a rare chance to experience Wild Turkey at its most personal, expressive, and memorable.
