Templeton Rye 4 Year Rye Whiskey 375ml
Description
Templeton Rye carries forward a storied tradition of American whiskey-making in this perfectly sized 375ml bottle that captures the spirit of Prohibition-era craftsmanship. This smaller format offers an ideal introduction to the brand’s signature style, delivering the same bold rye character that made Templeton famous during the bootlegging days when it was known as ‘The Good Stuff.’ Today’s legal version maintains that rebellious spirit while showcasing refined modern distilling techniques. The nose immediately announces its high rye content with vibrant spice notes of black pepper and cinnamon, balanced by undertones of caramel and vanilla. As the whiskey opens up, subtler aromas emerge—dried herbs, leather, and a hint of citrus zest that adds brightness to the spicy foundation. This complexity in a young rye speaks to careful grain selection and expert distillation that maximizes flavor development. On the palate, Templeton Rye delivers the perfect balance between aggressive rye spice and approachable smoothness. Initial peppery heat gives way to flavors of butterscotch, toasted oak, and subtle fruit notes reminiscent of baked apple. The mouthfeel is surprisingly rich for its proof, coating the tongue with warming spices that never become harsh or overwhelming. This accessibility makes it equally suitable for neat sipping or classic cocktails. The finish is clean and warming, with lingering notes of rye bread and gentle spice that invite another sip. This 375ml size is perfect for those wanting to explore premium rye whiskey without committing to a full bottle, or for creating perfectly portioned gifts. Templeton Rye in this format proves that great whiskey comes in all sizes, delivering full flavor and historical significance in a convenient package.
