Teeling Small Batch Notre Dame Irish Whiskey 750ml
Description
This limited‑edition release from Teeling celebrates the storied alliance with Notre Dame Fighting Irish while delivering the same core craftsmanship that defines Teeling’s Small Batch series. Bottled at 46% ABV and non‑chill filtered, it blends both Irish whiskey tradition and bold finishing technique—ideal for whiskey lovers who appreciate both story and substance. What makes this bottling distinct is its finish in Central American rum casks, layered atop a marriage of malt and grain whiskeys matured in ex‑bourbon barrels. The result is a striking combination of Irish smoothness, tropical sweetness and refined oak-driven character—offering more than your average small‑batch blend. On the nose you’ll experience soft floral and herbal tones merging with vanilla bean, rum‑raisin and a gentle suggestion of all‑spice. The aroma invites you in with warmth and intrigue. On the palate the whiskey opens with creamy textures and sweet dried fruit—apricot, raisin and banana—then develops into toasted oak, gentle baking spice and subtle caramel. The rum cask finish adds a layer of tropical nuance while keeping the profile grounded in Irish whiskey fundamentals. The finish is long and warming, carrying forward the sweetness of vanilla and dried fruit, balanced by oak spice and a hint of cocoa. It lingers with class, leaving an impression of complexity and elegance. This bottle is suitable for newcomers seeking an approachable Irish whiskey with flair, and for seasoned aficionados who appreciate a thoughtful finish and collectible presentation. Serve it neat or with a single large ice cube so you can savour the layers of flavor, or use it as the foundation for a refined Irish whiskey highball or whiskey‑coffee cocktail. In short: Teeling Small Batch “Notre Dame” Irish Whiskey offers an inspired twist on a respected base—smooth, flavorful and distinctive. It blends Irish heritage and finishing innovation in a bottle that stands out for both taste and story.
