Stack House Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma 2019 750ml
Description
Stack House Cabernet Sauvignon represents the bold potential of Sonoma County for producing world-class Cabernet, where ideal mountain terroir meets expert winemaking to create wines of exceptional power and sophistication. This 2019 vintage showcases the unique character that emerges when Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in Sonoma’s diverse mountain appellations, where elevation, exposure, and well-draining soils combine to produce grapes of remarkable concentration and complexity.
The wine opens with an immediately compelling nose of dark berries and cassis, enhanced by complex aromatics of cedar, tobacco, and distinctive mineral notes that speak to the mountain vineyard’s unique terroir. French oak aging contributes structure and vanilla notes while preserving the fruit’s natural intensity and varietal character. On the palate, the wine delivers impressive depth and concentration, with well-structured tannins supporting rich fruit flavors that evolve from initial berry intensity to more complex savory notes of chocolate, spice, and earth.
What distinguishes Stack House is its expression of Sonoma’s mountain terroir applied to Cabernet Sauvignon, where the combination of elevation, drainage, and sun exposure creates ideal conditions for producing wines of exceptional character and aging potential. The 2019 vintage showcases perfect balance between power and elegance, demonstrating how mountain-grown Cabernet can achieve both intensity and finesse. This wine offers both immediate pleasure and significant aging potential, with its robust structure supporting flavors that will continue to evolve and develop. Perfect for pairing with grilled steaks, braised short ribs, or aged cheeses, this Cabernet delivers a sophisticated drinking experience that represents the best of Sonoma’s approach to producing world-class red wines from exceptional mountain vineyard sites.
