Sailor Jerry Savage Apple Flavored Rum 750ml
Description
Set sail for flavor adventure with Sailor Jerry Savage Apple, where the bold spirit of Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins meets an unexpected twist of crisp apple flavor. This isn’t your typical sweet apple liqueur but a full-strength spiced rum infused with natural apple flavors, creating a combination as bold and unconventional as the legendary tattoo artist himself. The result respects the rebellious spirit of the brand while offering something completely unexpected.
The nose presents an intriguing collision of flavors that somehow works. Sailor Jerry’s signature vanilla and cinnamon spice notes remain prominent, but now accompanied by fresh green apple aromas that add brightness and intrigue. The apple character is more tart than sweet – think Granny Smith rather than candied apple – which prevents any cloying quality. Additional spice notes of nutmeg and clove bridge the gap between rum and fruit, creating unexpected harmony.
On the palate, Savage Apple delivers on its rebellious promise. The initial taste brings Sailor Jerry’s smooth spiced rum character – vanilla, caramel, and warm spices – quickly joined by crisp apple flavor that transforms the experience. The apple element is well-integrated, tasting natural rather than artificial, and balanced to complement rather than dominate the rum. The combination creates new flavor possibilities: spiced apple pie, caramel apple, and autumn orchard notes that didn’t exist in either element alone. The proof remains substantial, ensuring this maintains its rum credentials rather than becoming a liqueur. The finish is smooth with lingering spice and apple notes that invite another sip. This unexpected flavor combination works brilliantly in creative cocktails – imagine an apple mojito with spice, or an autumn old fashioned with built-in apple notes. Sailor Jerry Savage Apple proves that even legends can learn new tricks, offering a fresh take on flavored rum that maintains the brand’s bold spirit.
