Intense, dark cherry-red colour.Complex bouquet that reveals a splendid balance of mature fruit and a delicate touch of spice from the French oak.Powerful in the mouth with sensations of fleshy, crystallised fruit that highlight a pleasant fullness in which the slighty toasted notes from the wood are perfectly integrated.A very elegant wine that promises to develop splendidly in bottle.
Region Description
This Spanish grape gives wines deep color, low acidity and only moderate alcohol content. In recent years the Ribera del Duero region has been producing wonderful wines featuring this grape; in older, more traditional regions such as Rioja, the grape is blended with others.
