Frey Ranch Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey 750ml
Description
Frey Ranch Four Grain Bourbon represents true grain-to-glass production, with every ingredient grown on their Nevada ranch. This four-grain bourbon incorporates corn, wheat, rye, and barley, creating a complex mash bill that showcases how different grains contribute unique characteristics. The result is a bourbon that tells the story of its terroir while pushing boundaries on what bourbon can be.
The nose reveals the complexity of four grains working in harmony – sweet corn and vanilla are joined by the smoothness of wheat, spice from rye, and a subtle nuttiness from barley. There’s a freshness that speaks to estate-grown grains, with notes of wildflower honey, fresh herbs, and a subtle earthiness unique to Nevada terroir. On the palate, Frey Ranch delivers remarkable complexity: each grain contributes its signature – corn’s sweetness, wheat’s creaminess, rye’s spice, and barley’s depth create layers of flavor including butterscotch, baking spices, toasted nuts, and stone fruits, all perfectly integrated.
The estate production creates a unique sense of place in this bourbon. The finish is long and evolving, with different grains revealing themselves in waves – initial sweetness gives way to spice, followed by nutty notes and lingering oak. This is bourbon for those who appreciate agricultural heritage and terroir in spirits. Perfect for neat sipping to appreciate the grain interplay or in cocktails where complexity is desired, Frey Ranch Four Grain represents the pinnacle of estate bourbon production, proving that exceptional whiskey can emerge from unexpected places.
