Escortauro Extra Anejo 12 Year Extra Anejo Tequila 750ml
Description
Escortauro 12 Year Extra Añejo pushes the boundaries of tequila aging to create something truly extraordinary. This ultra-premium expression spends over a decade developing in oak, transforming from young spirit into a meditation on time and patience. Each bottle represents years of careful monitoring and the belief that some things cannot be rushed.
The color alone tells a story—deep mahogany with hints of red, like liquid garnet. On the nose, the extended aging has created incredible complexity. Initial aromas of dark toffee and polished leather give way to waves of sophistication—Cuban cigar, dark chocolate, espresso, and dried fruit create an almost wine-like bouquet. As it breathes, notes of balsamic, old wood, and exotic spices emerge, suggesting flavors more commonly found in ancient brandies.
The palate is a revelation of what time can achieve. Incredibly smooth and viscous, flavors unfold in slow motion—dark caramel becomes molasses, which transforms into date syrup with hints of tamarind. The 12 years have created flavors impossible to achieve quickly—notes of Christmas pudding, tobacco-infused honey, and aged balsamic. The agave, while transformed, maintains a presence that distinguishes this from other aged spirits. The finish seems eternal, with flavors continuing to evolve and reveal themselves long after each sip. This is tequila as liquid history.
