Dos Artes Anejo Tequila 1l
Description
This expression of Dos Artes Añejo represents a slight variation in the brand’s artistic approach, perhaps from a different batch or barrel selection. The stunning hand-painted ceramic bottle remains a centerpiece, while the liquid within offers its own unique interpretation of aged tequila. Each bottle is individually crafted, making every one a unique piece of functional art.
The rich amber hue suggests quality aging, and the nose delivers with pronounced notes of butterscotch, dark vanilla, and cooked agave. This version seems to emphasize the sweeter aspects of aging, with caramel and toffee notes more prominent. As it breathes, hints of tropical fruit, particularly mango and papaya, add an unexpected dimension alongside traditional notes of cinnamon and oak.
The palate reveals a slightly different balance from its sibling, with fruit notes playing a more prominent role. Initial flavors of honey and caramelized banana give way to traditional añejo notes of vanilla, oak, and gentle spice. The texture remains luxuriously smooth, coating the mouth with rich, evolving flavors. The finish is long and satisfying, with alternating waves of sweetness and spice that showcase the complexity achieved through patient aging. This variation demonstrates how subtle differences in production can create distinct personalities within the same brand.
