Clase Azul Reposado Tequila 1.75l
Description
Clase Azul Reposado in its magnificent 1.75-liter presentation transforms the brand’s iconic artistic vision into a commanding centerpiece that ensures the luxury experience can be shared generously. This magnum-sized ceramic masterpiece, still individually hand-painted by Mexican artisans, contains enough of their celebrated reposado to make any gathering extraordinary. The larger format not only makes a stunning visual impact but offers exceptional value for those who’ve made Clase Azul their tequila of choice for special celebrations.
The challenge of creating Clase Azul’s ceramic decanters in this larger size requires master artisans with exceptional skill. The 1.75-liter format demands different techniques for forming, firing, and painting, with each stage requiring adjustments to ensure the same quality as standard bottles. The extra time and expertise required makes these large-format presentations particularly special, while the generous amount of reposado inside ensures the celebration can continue throughout the evening.
Production of the reposado remains uncompromising regardless of bottle size. Highland agaves undergo the signature 72-hour slow cooking that develops Clase Azul’s characteristic sweetness. Natural fermentation and careful distillation create the smooth base spirit that enters American oak barrels for eight months of patient aging. The larger volume actually benefits the final product, as bigger batches tend to age more consistently, ensuring every pour from this impressive bottle delivers the same luxurious experience.
Clase Azul Reposado in this commanding format displays its warm golden amber color magnificently. The nose offers the brand’s signature elegance amplified—smooth waves of vanilla and caramel from oak aging blend with sweet highland agave, creating an inviting bouquet. As it breathes, layers of complexity emerge: butterscotch, honey, tropical fruits, and gentle baking spices create aromatic richness. The eight-month aging shows perfect balance, with oak enhancement complementing rather than dominating the agave foundation.
On the palate, this reposado delivers the consistently smooth experience that made Clase Azul famous, now in generous quantity. The entry is silk-smooth, with vanilla and honey creating immediate luxury balanced by bright agave sweetness and subtle citrus. The highland character shines through with delicate floral notes and refined minerality, while oak aging adds depth without weight. Mid-palate brings the full expression of Clase Azul’s mastery: butterscotch and caramel play with tropical fruit notes, cinnamon and nutmeg add warmth, while persistent agave maintains authenticity. The finish is long and sophisticated, with different flavors taking graceful turns before fading into pleasant memory. This 1.75-liter presentation makes Clase Azul accessible for larger gatherings while maintaining every element of luxury—from the stunning hand-painted decanter that becomes a conversation piece to the exceptional reposado that elevates any celebration. Whether displayed as functional art or opened to share luxury with many, this magnum format proves that Clase Azul’s vision of tequila as high art scales beautifully.
