Cairjn Grenache Paso Robles 2022 is a small-production red from the Willow Creek District. Made from 100% Grenache, it comes from Truss Vineyard, the site formerly known as Terry Hoage Vineyard. As a result, the wine shows both Paso Robles ripeness and a focused westside character.The nose opens with strawberry, red cherry, savory herbs, and a soft floral lift. Then the palate moves into tart red fruit, raspberry, baking spice, and a hint of coffee. Grenache gives the wine its smooth texture and bright fruit, while the Willow Creek site adds depth, earth, and a firm mineral edge.Cairjn ages this wine for 18 months in 100% neutral French oak. Because of that, the oak shapes the texture without covering the fruit. The wine feels polished and full, yet it keeps a fresh line through the finish. Notes of red berry, herbs, caramel, and light spice linger with gentle grip.At 15.9% ABV, this 2022 Grenache carries bold Paso Robles warmth. However, its lift and savory detail keep it balanced. With only 115 cases made, it also brings real boutique appeal for buyers who enjoy limited westside Paso wines.Serve slightly below room temperature after a short decant. Then pair it with roast duck, grilled pork, lamb chops, mushroom risotto, charcuterie, or herb-roasted vegetables.
