Broken Shed Plain Vodka 750ml
Description
Broken Shed Vodka emerges from New Zealand with a proposition as pure as its contents – vodka crafted from whey and pristine spring water, creating one of the world’s smoothest and most distinctive spirits. This innovative approach challenges traditional vodka production while delivering exceptional quality that has garnered international acclaim.
The use of whey as a base ingredient represents true innovation in vodka production. Sourced from New Zealand’s grass-fed cattle, the whey undergoes careful fermentation and distillation that transforms dairy byproduct into premium spirit. This unique foundation creates a vodka that’s naturally gluten-free with an exceptionally smooth character that traditional grain or potato vodkas struggle to match.
The water source proves equally exceptional. Drawn from springs at the foothills of the Southern Alps, this water undergoes natural filtration through volcanic rock over thousands of years. The result is water of extraordinary purity with a specific mineral content that enhances the vodka’s smooth character. Combined with the whey distillate, it creates a vodka of remarkable refinement.
The production process involves careful distillation and minimal filtration, allowing the natural smoothness of whey vodka to shine through. Unlike vodkas that rely on excessive filtration to remove harshness, Broken Shed’s gentle approach preserves subtle flavors while ensuring exceptional purity. The result is vodka that’s both characterful and incredibly smooth.
Tasting Broken Shed reveals why this innovative approach works so brilliantly. The nose is exceptionally clean with subtle sweet notes and hints of vanilla. The texture is the revelation – silky smooth with no harsh edges, coating the palate with luxurious viscosity. Flavors are subtle but present: clean, slightly sweet, with hints of cream and a mineral finish that reflects the pristine water source.
Broken Shed excels in applications where smoothness matters. In martinis, its texture creates drinks of exceptional refinement. Served neat from the freezer, it offers a pure expression of innovative vodka craftsmanship. Even in mixed drinks, its smoothness elevates simple combinations to premium experiences.
Broken Shed represents vodka innovation at its finest – taking an unconventional approach to create something genuinely superior. For those seeking the smoothest possible vodka with a unique story, this New Zealand original delivers an experience that justifies its premium positioning.
