Booker’s Barry’s Batch 2025-01 Bourbon Whiskey 750ml
Description
Booker’s 2024 release continues the uncompromising tradition established by the legendary Booker Noe, presenting bourbon exactly as it comes from the barrel – uncut and unfiltered. This year’s batches showcase the art of selecting exceptional barrels from the center of the rackhouse, where temperature fluctuations create the most intense flavor development. Each bottle represents Booker’s vision of what bourbon should be: bold, honest, and packed with flavor.
The nose hits with characteristic Booker’s intensity – powerful aromas of vanilla extract, dark caramel, and charred oak barrel char leap from the glass. As it opens, more nuanced notes emerge: leather-bound books, dark chocolate, cinnamon red hots, and a hint of orange peel. The high proof carries these aromas with remarkable clarity. On the palate, Booker’s 2024 delivers the full-throttle experience fans expect: an initial wave of brown sugar sweetness quickly followed by robust flavors of roasted nuts, espresso, black pepper, and rich tobacco, all supported by a thick, almost chewy texture.
Despite the formidable proof, there’s a balance here that speaks to expert barrel selection. The heat enhances rather than masks the flavors, creating a bourbon that’s powerful yet drinkable for those who appreciate intensity. The finish is legendary – long, warming, and evolving, with notes of dark toffee, oak spice, and a pleasant tingling sensation that lasts for minutes. This is bourbon for serious enthusiasts who want to experience whiskey at its most concentrated and flavorful. Whether enjoyed neat by the fearless, with a splash of water to open it up, or as the base for the ultimate bourbon cocktail, Booker’s 2024 delivers an unforgettable experience.
