Balcones Distilling Cataleja Single Malt Whisky 750ml
Balcones Cataleja Texas Single Malt is a complex, limited-edition whisky released for Balcones Distilling’s 15th anniversary. Crafted from 100% Golden Promise malted barley, this expression undergoes an elaborate double maturation: first in used Kentucky bourbon barrels, and then finished in a variety of decommissioned Sherry Solera puncheons. This is an absolute Rare Gem.
This single malt delivers a decadent and layered profile. The nose opens with rich dark fruits, fig, and cherry, transitioning to a palate that is viscous and sticky, featuring notes of butterscotch, cacao nib, and clove. It culminates in a long finish of spice and dry oak.
The name Cataleja (Spanish for spyglass) honors the distillery’s elders while forging a future for American Single Malt. Secure this bold, innovative, and highly complex Texas whisky through a seamless Online Purchase on our website.
