94 pts – Vinous
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard The Calixtro is quite a bit more floral and perfumed than the Tench Cabernet. Sweet spice, floral, cedar and tobacco notes are nicely lifted in a mid-weight wine that is both powerful and yet also silky. This is such an elegant, nuanced Cabernet for the year, especially with a bit of time in the glass, and yet there is plenty of the gravitas and intensity readers have come to expect from Russell Bevan.-AG
