Classy. Dark-colored, ripe yet elegant, full-bodied and chewy, with blackberry, spice and toast notes, this wine races to a long, delicious finish that pumps out the pure flavors in exciting little waves. Tempting now, but worth cellaring. Best from 2005 through 2012. (05/15/1999)

Good deep red. Highly aromatic nose combines black raspberry, blueberry, coffee, smoke, herbs and flowers. Sweet and pliant, with moderate complexity and depth. Finishes with easy tannins. The palate does not quite deliver what the nose promises.- Stephen Tanzer (03/1998)
